<p>For as long as I care to remember, I have been concerned about my weight in particular, and my overall health in general. My partner pokes fun at me occasionally about this, especially if I am trying to get back on track with a seriously healthy eating regime.</p>
<p>This is usually the case after some period of over indulgence, like right now, a few short weeks after Christmas and New Year. He says he loves me the way I am, and tells me not to be so obsessive about reading food labels, eating low fat foods, and so on, and so on. If I am like that, some of it is his fault. Would you believe that he actually bought me four, yes four, boxes of chocolates over Christmas. He knows that I am a total chocoholic,(as are many women),and simply cannot resist them. He gets a perverse pleasure from watching me agonise over the temptation, and usually not succeeding.</p>
<p>He has given up cigars totally for the last three months, and says that this is his way of getting his own back. He teases me by saying that he has more willpower than I have! In normal times I simply refuse to have anything made with chocolate in the house, as I know that I will give in to temptation otherwise, and sometimes he takes advantage of my weakness!<span id="more-217"></span></p>
<p>This may all be mildly amusing, but controlling your weight and avoiding weight gain as you get older, are vitally important ways to help prevent a host of weight-related health problems. Indeed, if you are more than 20 pounds over your ideal weight, you are at far greater risk for a considerable number of potentially deadly conditions.</p>
<p>These can include diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, endometrial cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, and breast cancer. In addition,and equally worrying,is the fact that most people who are overweight tend to avoid exercise, and that that same avoidance, in turn simply adds to the toll paid for those extra pounds. If you have a sedentary lifestyle and are overweight, you are at a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and other health problems. Moreover, if you already have a medical condition such as high cholesterol, being overweight puts you at a higher risk for complications.</p>

Mental images or memories tend to prevent many of us from eating certain foods because we have an awful memory or thought of it. <p>Hypnosis works very much in the same way as those memories or ideas about certain things when you put something together that is bad for you with thoughts that really are not overly appetizing you will find that you crave the bad foods less and the good foods more.
